AGRIPRENEUR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (ADP)

The Agripreneur Development Programme is a 12-month practical training programme, followed by a 24-month post-training transition phase, designed to settle agripreneurs on land and support them into commercial viability.

Programme Phases

Activate Phase (3 months)
Classroom and field-based learning focusing on production fundamentals, business skills, and mindset development.

Accelerate Phase (9 months)
Hands-on production, market engagement, mentorship, and access to land and infrastructure.

Outcomes

  • 300 agripreneurs established

  • Average of 10 jobs created per agripreneur

  • Guaranteed market access through aggregation

Impact Cluster Programmes: Upskilling / Short Courses

(Three-Year Plan: 2026–2028)

Strengthening the technical capacity of 216 agri-professionals in advanced horticultural practices through RVO-funded training.

Featured Details:

Duration: Three-month intensive training sessions (20 participants per quarter) and continue throughout the year. Partners: EARN Grootvlei Agric (EGA) Seed2Feed Foundation, Holland Greentech, Ridder, Bosman Van Zaal, Svensson, Control Union and Drylands Farms operating the 0.5 climate smart high-tech greenhouse.

Content: Practical horticulture, digital farming, climate-smart practices

Social ROI:

Develops regional knowledge capacity and fosters employment growth of 240 agri-professionals. Enables innovation diffusion to farming networks and cooperatives.
